How to use
"What would design look like if it shifted from human-centered to Earth-centered?"
Earth-centered design is defined as a practice that understands the nuances between all life on Earth and takes into consideration more-than-human agents when designing, generating or contributing to the making of our world. This deck of cards and book incorporate Indigenous world-making and embodiment practices, proposing a creative way to integrate the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual bodies into the ways we relate to the world around us.
This is the MFA work of Circular Bodies's founder Dominique Flaksberg. This work goes deep into her design practice and invites the reader to translate these teachings into their lives in the same way that she brought these concepts into the manifestation of a wellness business in her own life. Purchase includes the book format of the thesis research, a poster of the Medicine Wheel, as well as a deck of cards that facilitated the exercises proposed in a classroom, personal or community building setting.
